New AXIS M11 Series cameras perfect for stores, restaurants, hotels and offices with high resolution video, remote zoom and focus, and edge storage; AXIS M1145-L offers integrated, OptimizedIR for adaptable angle of illumination

CHELMSFORD, Mass. – February 11, 2014 – Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, announces the discreet and cost-effective AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 Network Cameras featuring full HDTV 1080p resolution and highly efficient H.264 video compression with remote zoom and focus for exceptional image usability. AXIS M1145-L is also equipped with built-in and adjustable IR LED illumination – calledOptimizedIR – for easy and discreet day and night video surveillance.

These two new fixed cameras in the AXIS M11 Seriesenable clear identification day or night, and are ideally suited for professional indoor surveillance applications in retail stores, boutiques, restaurants, hotels and offices.

AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 Network Cameras provide HDTV 1080p resolution video at full frame rate and offer multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG streams that can be individually optimized for bandwidth and storage efficiency. Additional features include support for edge storage with a built-in microSD/SDHC memory card slot, pixel counter, Axis Corridor Format, Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) and an I/O port for PIR sensor options. 

With their slim and compact design, the cameras enable quick and easy installation, simple setup and a trouble-free video surveillance solution for applications where monitoring is required around-the-clock. Additionally, to minimize environmental impact, the plastic parts in AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 contain 39 percent and 42 percent recycled plastic respectively.

Additional features of AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 include:
• OptimizedIR in AXIS M1145-L, which is a power-efficient LED technology that provides an adaptable angle of IR illumination.
• P-Iris lens for optimal depth of field, resolution, image contrast and clarity.
• Remote 3.5x optical zoom to ensure that the camera’s angle of view is optimized for the area to be monitored.

AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 are supported by the industry’s largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program, AXIS Camera Station and the complimentary AXIS Camera Companion. The cameras also include support for AXIS Video Hosting System for hosted video installations and ONVIF for easy camera system integration. 

AXIS M1145-L and AXIS M1145 are planned to be available in Q1 2014 through Axis distribution channels at the suggested retail prices of $549 and $499 respectively.
