The modular cameras involve a sensor unit that connects via a cable to a main unit, which is the body of a camera. You can place the sensor unit (consisting of a lens and an image sensor) where needed and the main unit where there is space. You can connect up to four sensor units to a four-channel main unit for cost-effective surveillance of several closely situated areas.

You can buy the sensor and main units separately in order to get the hardware combination that best suits your needs. Or you can purchase complete, pre-packaged modular cameras.
